Cheramie grew up in the small town of Muenster, Texas, and married her high school sweetheart in 1992. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in Child Development and English minor in 1997. Then she completed her State Board of Education Certificate in 2003. She retired from 24+ years of teaching elementary school in the summer of 2021 and began her career as a litigation paralegal at Dankesreiter & Emmet, LLP.
Cheramie primarily assists managing partner, Eric Dankesreiter, and supports the associate litigation attorneys as well. Some of her duties include drafting documents, preparing for hearings, mediation, and trials, and communicating with clients. She is known for her hard work ethic and meticulous attention to details.
Cheramie has been married to Eric for 32 years. They have three grown children: Benjamin who is married to Jessica, Kathryn, and Matthew. She is excited to be a grandma to Ben and Jess’ baby, coming soon! In her free time, Cheramie enjoys traveling, reading, boating at the lake, doing bible studies with friends, gardening, canning fresh salsa and making jams from the fruits in her orchard. She is also an active member at St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle.
She is a valuable asset to our practice in many areas.
