Debra S. Crafton

Debra "Debbie" S. Crafton represents clients in the following practice areas:

Debbie works closely with her clients to develop solutions that meet their legal needs now and in the future. As a former corporate executive, Debbie understands the issues and obstacles that face her clients daily. She uses her professional experience, as both a former executive and a skilled attorney, to protect the business interests of her clients. Debbie's experience as a mediator also enables her to effectively negotiate and advocate on behalf of her clients, both in and out of the courtroom.
Debbie also has extensive experience in family law. She handles a multitude of family issues including:
- Divorces
- Child custody disputes
- Property disputes
- Modifications
- Enforcement of existing orders
When serving any client, Debbie provides legal representation that focuses on the best interests of her clients and their children. Debbie works collaboratively with her clients to develop a customized plan that can move the family forward, accommodate the children's changing needs, and maximize benefits to enable her clients to plan for the future.

Debbie was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2005.
Education
She received a Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University in 1984.

She maintains membership in several professional and community organizations, including the Dallas County Bar Association (Family Law Section), State Bar of Texas (Family Law Section), American Bar Association, National Order of the Barristers and Trietsch United Methodist Church.
Continuing Legal Education
In an effort to stay apprised of the most recent legal trends and changes in the law, Debbie is a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas. The College is a society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas. Members are attorneys who are dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards and are committed to attending at least double the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) hours required by the State Bar of Texas.
Personal
Debbie was born in Denville, New Jersey. She previously worked as a journalist and as an advertising executive. Debbie enjoys boating with her husband and two children on Lake Grapevine and supporting her children's many sports and band programs.
